2018 Jim Matney
Coach Jim Matney became the head coach at Johnson Central High School after coaching at Sheldon Clarke (Martin County, KY) for almost 20 years. During his tenure, he led the Golden Eagles to five-straight 4A championship game appearances and two state titles, in 2016 and 2019. His record at the school was 184-36. He also coached wrestling.
